Centerville, IA -   Mercy Medical Center - Centerville will host a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Mercy Medical Clinic on Thursday, April 5th, 1:00 PM at the project site located on the southwest grounds of the hospital on St. Joseph’s Drive in Centerville.

The new 16,000 square foot clinic will accommodate up to 15 practitioners. The modern facility will include separate waiting rooms for primary care, specialist care and quick care. The clinic will house 26 exam rooms, three lab spaces, four procedure rooms, waiting rooms, nurses’ stations, and a climate controlled connecting link to the hospital.

The $4.2 million project is being done through a partnership between Mercy and developer Russell Construction. The new facility will allow the hospital to house additional practitioners and assist in recruitment of new physicians to the community.  “The opportunity to partner with Russell in bringing a first class clinic to our campus is very exciting,” said hospital president Clint Christianson.  Construction is scheduled for completion by the end of the year.

The construction and design team includes Russell, Davenport, IA ( and Marasco Healthcare Architecture, PLLC, Denver, CO (
