Legacies the foundation of Mercy Medical Center recently recognized Rosemary Porter for serving nine years as a board member. Porter, whose term with the foundation ended this year has also previously been a hospital board member where she served as chairperson.
Legacies President Ann Young and Board Chair Mark Dekker presented Porter with an award honoring her service to the hospital. “Rosemary is an outstanding volunteer leader and is generous with her time and resources. Although she is no longer on the board, she leaves us with the continued offer to call her anytime we need her help, which is much appreciated,” said Young.
At the foundation’s recent meeting, the board also welcomed new board members, Nikki Cox, Teresa Eggerman and Molly Revers who have already stepped up to be part of committees. Officers elected for the coming year are: Mark Dekker, Chairperson; Dewey McConville, Vice Chairperson; and Jeff Willier, Secretary-Treasurer. Other board members include Diane MacArthur, Kathy Maddaleno and Mike Craver.
The hospital’s foundation will play a key role in philanthropy efforts as the hospital continues planning towards a $31 million building and renovation project.
